Baroque, eighteenth century
The balconies with wrought-iron balustrades overlooking the courtyard of the Palau Meca are from a remodelling in the Baroque style, probably carried out during the eighteenth century. This type of balcony with helical balusters at either end and in the centre was very common in Barcelona from the seventeenth century on, and can be seen both on street façades and on interior courtyards.
