Stairway and Moulded Base
Baroque, eighteenth century
Together with the main door on the piano nobile, the stairway, remarkable for its monumental scale, is one of the outstanding features of this courtyard. Medieval in origin, it was remodelled in the eighteenth century, as can be seen from the wrought-iron railing and the stone moulding at the foot of the stairs.
